Jackie Biggs (1954, E) is originally from Hertfordshire and worked as a journalist in London before settling in west Wales in 1986. She has had poetry published in many magazines and anthologies. She reads her work regularly at spoken word events and has had poems Highly Commended in the RS Thomas Festival Poetry Competition (2019) and Highly Commended in the International Welsh Poetry Competition (2019). She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, is co-organiser of The Cellar Bards spoken word event in Cardigan, a former chair of PENfro Book Festival and a member of the Rockhoppers (Coast to Coast Poets) poetry performance group.
