Gillian Brightmore (1940, E) was born in Llantrisant, Glamorgan. She gained a English Lit. BA from Swansea University and has a Masters in American Literature from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. She is a former creative writing tutor at Cardiff University and has also taught with Open College of the Arts. She has worked with great Welsh poet Chris Torrance on Cabaret 247 and was co-founder of Deadlier Than The Male with Elis Bletsoe. She has had various poetry and short stories published in Everywoman, Mslexia, Planet Magazine, Big Issue Cymru, Roundyhouse, Poetry Online Express. She is currently working on a second novel.
