Cal Smyth (1975, E) is a crime novelist and screenwriter. He has lived in Serbia, Japan, Mexico & Italy but now lives in Swansea. He interviewed Serbian police inspectors, gained insight into the Balkan drug route and got his research assistant (‘The Woman with a Bullet in Her Leg’) out of prison. In 2019, Cal was awarded a Royal Literary Fund Fellowship to help University students in Wales with their writing skills.
